Started the stand for our apple butter kettle. Started out by tapering and thinning ends of 54 inch length of 1/8 by 1.5 inch flat bar.

Then the ring was rolled cold on my swage block with a rounding hammer.

The ends were lapped 6 inches and riveted together.

Finally, alternating between the face of the anvil and the swage block the ring was fine-tuned to fit the pot. Pretty fair circle, if I do say so!
