I was browsing an antique mall with the love of my life the other day and found this old hand-forged twisting wrench. A twisting wrench is used by a blacksmith to twist or bend stock when forging twists, scrolls and the like. I have seen them in blacksmithing books but this is the first one I’ve seen in person.

Obviously ‘smith-made it is a very workmanlike job…functional but not well finished. I don’t think it was used much. It looks like it just came from the forge. The gap between the jaws are just a hair over 1/4 inch. Should work well for quarter-inch flat or square stock.
