Here are a couple pictures of the blacksmith shop and gunsmith shop at the Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, TN. The blacksmith shop is a working shop but the smith was not there the day we visited. Nice shop with a stone forge blown by a nice bellows. I could work there!

The gunsmith shop is a non-working display but has a lot of nicely preserved tools, parts and guns in various stages of completion. The highlights of the shop, however, are the barrel boring and rifling machines. Obviously smith-made, they were a real treat to see.
